FAQs

  • Who is welcome at the Rainbow Riverfest?
            EVERYONE!
  • Do I need a canoe or a boat to enter?
            No, you do not. The Canoe Club is located on the banks of the beautiful Connecticut River and provides boating for members.
            The riverfest is happening on site and you will not need a boat.
  • Will food be provided? What about vegetarians?
            Yes. There will be a variety of food vendors to satisfy all needs, including vegetarian fare. Please do not bring your own coolers.
  • Will the festival be held if it is raining?
            Absolutely. This is an outdoor event happening rain or shine, that you won't want to miss!
  • Do we need to bring our own chairs or blankets?
            Yes, it is preferable to bring blankets or smaller beach chairs.
  • Can I bring in my own alcohol?
            No. Alcohol will be provided for sale in the beer garden. 

  • What am I not allowed to bring in?
            You are not allowed to bring coolers, pets, or beverages, due to insurance regulations.
  • Will there be gender neutral bathrooms?
             Yes.
  • Do I need to bring an I.D.?
            Yes. If you plan on drinking, you will need to provide positive I.D. and if you are under 21 and want to enter the festival for free, you
             will also need to provide positive I.D.
  • Can children be in the Youth Tent if they are under 12?
             No, the workshops and demonstrations are for a young adult audience. There will be a designated children's area with games and
              playground.
  • Where does the money go that is raised from the Riverfest?
            All the money raised goes back into programs for the community and youth services.
  • Is parking provided?
            Yes, parking will be provided on site for $5.
  • Is your festival "green"?
            The Coalition strives to reduce excessive waste. There will be recycling receptacles for cans, plastic bottles, and paper. We will
              continue to encourage people to go green!
